Starting his career in the youth ranks with Tappara U16, he astoundingly recorded 57 points in just 22 games during the 2020-21 season. He continued to shine as he moved up to Tappara U18, where he notched an impressive 45 points in 33 games in the 2021-22 season. For the 2022-23 season, Helenius progressed to Tappara U20, tallying 28 points in 19 games.
