Logan Cooley was born on May 4, 2004. He is an American professional ice hockey center who plays for the Utah Hockey Club of the NHL. Drafted third overall by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, Cooley has emerged as a promising young talent. He developed his skills in the USA Hockey National Team Development Program, where he shone in the 2021-22 season with 75 points in 51 games for the U18 team.

Before joining the NHL, he made an impact at the University of Minnesota. Although a Pittsburgh native, Cooley grew up a Washington Capitals and Alexander Ovechkin fan. He initially took up hockey through Sidney Crosby's Little Penguins program. With his high draft selection, Cooley became the highest-drafted player from the Pittsburgh area, surpassing previous picks like J.T. Miller and R.J. Umberger.
