Celebrini first made waves in college hockey, playing for Boston University, where he had an outstanding freshman season, becoming the youngest player to win the prestigious Hobey Baker Award. He led the league with 86 points, setting a record for Under-17 players and earning Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Forward of the Year, becoming the first to earn all three awards in a single season.

Celebrini committed to Boston University in 2023. His freshman season saw him notch 32 goals and 32 assists in 38 games, ultimately winning the Hobey Baker Award as the youngest player to achieve this honor.
