Martin Necas is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays as a center for the Carolina Hurricanes in the National Hockey League (NHL). Moreover, Martin Necas emerged as a key player for the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2019-20 season, where he scored 16 goals and recorded 20 assists across 64 in his rookie season. He made his IIHF tournament debut at the 2017 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, followed by appearances at the 2017 IIHF World U18 Championships, where he served as captain once again. Necas' leadership and offensive prowess were on full display at the 2018 World Juniors, where he led the tournament in assists and tied for the scoring lead, guiding the Czech team to a fourth-place finish. He later represented the Czech Republic at the 2018 IIHF World Championship, contributing five points in seven games. Necas continued to make waves on the international stage, captaining the Czech team at the 2019 World Juniors.
