Martin Necas is a Czech professional ice hockey center for the Colorado Avalanche as of February 2025. He began his amateur career in the Czech leagues, playing for SKLH Žďár nad Sázavou and HC Kometa Brno. During the 2014-15 season, he led the Czech U16 league with 91 points in 34 games.
Necas was selected 12th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2017 NHL Draft. He made his NHL debut on October 17, 2017, against the Edmonton Oilers.
