After signing an amateur tryout contract with the Providence Bruins, he played five regular season games and registered one assist. He made his NHL debut on November 2, 2023, against the Toronto Maple Leafs, earning his first NHL point. Lohrei's rookie season included scoring his first NHL goal on November 6, 2023, against the Dallas Stars. He also had several call-ups and demotions throughout the season.
