Michael Hage is an 18-year-old ice hockey centre who currently plays for the Chicago Steel in the United States Hockey League (USHL) and is eligible for the NHL draft in 2024. Moreover, he stands at 6 feet 1 inch (185 cm) and weighs 187 pounds (85 kg; 13 st 5 lb) with his scoring hand being his right hand. Looking back, Hage hails from Canada and played for the Toronto Jr. Canadians MHA in his youth before climbing multiple levels and establishing himself as a mainstay for the Chicago Steel.

For the 2021–22 season, Hage played for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16 AAA team, followed by a strong performance in the 2022 OHL Cup. Despite being drafted by the Kitchener Rangers later on in the 2022 OHL Draft, he opted to sign for the Chicago Steel of the USHL. However, a setback occurred when he suffered a torn labrum in September 2022. This resulted in him missing out months of action before making a strong comeback in March 2023. During the 2023–24 season, he recorded 33 goals and 42 assists in 54 regular season games and was named the USHL Forward of the Week many times.

In place of flowers, donations were encouraged to the Hockey Canada Foundation to honor Alain's love for the game and ensure that kids have access to hockey. Moreover, Michael Hage dedicated the 2023–24 hockey season to his memory.
