Miles Wood is an American forward who plays for the Colorado Avalanche in the National Hockey League (NHL), as of April 2025. Wood was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL entry draft. He made his NHL debut on April 9, 2016, in a victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. He scored his first NHL goal on November 29, 2016, against the Winnipeg Jets.

Wood achieved a personal best in points and participated in his first NHL playoff game in the 2017-18 season. Notably, he recorded his first hat trick on November 12, 2017, in a win against the Chicago Blackhawks. After spending eight seasons with the Devils, Wood signed a six-year, $15 million contract with the Colorado Avalanche on July 1, 2023, as per Spotrac. He continues to play for the Avalanche, as of April 2025.

Wood attended Noble and Greenough School, where he played high school hockey from 2012 to 2015. During his prep career, he made a significant impact on the ice, particularly in the 2014-15 season, when he scored 35 points (17 goals and 18 assists) in 17 games. Following high school, he played two seasons with the Salem Ice Dogs in the Empire Junior Hockey League. He recorded nine points in both the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons, according to the USA Hockey's website.

The Colorado Avalanche player joined the Boston College Eagles in 2015, competing in the Hockey East Association. In the 2015-16 season, he made his impact with 35 points in 37 games. Wood helped the Eagles win the Hockey East Regular-Season Championship, the Beanpot Championship, and reach the NCAA Frozen Four.
