Minnesota Wild's Draft Picks Year by Year
Over the years, the Minnesota Wild have drafted several players who have made made a name for themselves in the league. Out of them, Joel Eriksson Ek stands out as the most successful draft pick in their history. Moreover, his consistent performances over the years have landed him a starting position with the team. Other notable draft pick include Matt Boldy who was selected 12th overall in 2019, and has managed to build a significant presence within the team. On the other hand, some first-round picks have faced challenges in making their mark. This includes Filip Johansson who was drafted 24th overall in 2018 but did not sign with the Wild and eventually joined the Vancouver Canucks, Charlie Stramel also showed promise but later faced setbacks due to injury, which limited his gametime.
