Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild is a professional ice hockey team based in St. Paul, Minnesota, competing in the NHL's Western Conference. The team joined the league in 2000 alongside the Columbus Blue Jackets as part of an expansion. Despite finishing last in its division during the first two seasons, the Wild made a significant impact in its third season by reaching the conference finals, led by right-wing Marian Gaborik.

In the 2003 playoffs, the Minnesota Wild made headlines by winning two seven-game series, including a dramatic comeback against the Colorado Avalanche. However, their run ended in the conference finals against the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. Following this, the team faced challenges with two last-place finishes before returning to the playoffs in 2006-07 and winning a division title in 2007-08, though they were eliminated in the first round both times. Starting in 2012-13, the Wild set a franchise record with six straight playoff appearances, but they never advanced beyond the second round during that stretch.

Minnesota Wild Preseason Schedule

The Minnesota Wild kicked off their 2024 preseason with an impressive 5-2 victory against the Winnipeg Jets on September 21. However, they faced a 5-2 loss to the Dallas Stars on September 25. The team will continue their pre-season with games against the Chicago Blackhawks on October 1 at Xcel Energy Center and again on October 4 at United Center.
