Mitchell Marner is a Canadian ice hockey right winger and alternate captain for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, he was selected fourth overall by the Maple Leafs in the 2015 NHL Entry Level Draft.

Prior to joining the NHL, Marner honed his hockey skills at 3 Zones Hockey School and later displayed his talents in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) with the Vaughan Kings and the Don Mills Flyers, whilst helping the Kings to an GTHL title in the 2011-12 season. Notably, Marner received a scholarship from University of Michigan following his impressive performances with St. Michael's Buzzers of the Ontario Junior A Hockey League. However, at the same time he was selected by the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League and decided to sign with the Knights.

During his time with the Knights, he contributed exactly 100 goals and recorded 205 assists over his three-year stay.
