Nathan MacKinnon is an ice hockey player in the NHL. As of 2024, he is playing with the Colorado Avalanche. He was born on September 1, 1995, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He played in the Bantam AAA at the age of 12. MacKinnon played with Cole Harbour's minor ice hockey league where he collected 200 points in just 50 games. He played two seasons for the Cole Harbour Red Wings and recorded 255 points.

The Colorado Avalanche selected him first overall in the 2013 NHL Entry draft. He made his NHL debut on October 2, 2013, and became the youngest player in a regular season game for the Avalanche. The period between 2017 to 2020 earned MacKinnon the highest praise for his performances as he made the NHL All-Star game every season.

Nathan MacKinnon’s Awards
