Devils vs Rangers

The New Jersey Devils are a professional ice hockey team in the NHL’s Metropolitan Division. They began as the Kansas City Scouts in 1974 before moving to Denver and becoming the Colorado Rockies. In 1982, the team relocated to New Jersey, adopting the Devils name, inspired by the legendary Jersey Devil. They played their early seasons at Brendan Byrne Arena and then moved to Prudential Center in Newark before the 2007–08 season.

After struggling for several years, the Devils became competitive under GM Lou Lamoriello from 1987 onward. They reached the Stanley Cup Finals five times, winning in 1995, 2000, and 2003. The Devils maintain fierce rivalries with both the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers.
