The New York Sirens are a professional ice hockey team in the New York metropolitan area. They play their home games at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The team was one of the league's six charter franchises and was founded on August 29, 2023. Their inaugural general manager was Pascal Daoust, and Howie Draper was appointed as the first head coach. The Sirens’ first three signings included national team players Alex Carpenter, Abby Roque, and Micah Zandee-Hart.
In their first season, the Sirens made history by playing in the league’s inaugural game, securing a 4-0 win against Toronto. New York finished the season without qualifying for the playoffs but won the first overall pick at the 2024 PWHL Draft. With the first pick in the 2024 PWHL draft, the Sirens selected Sarah Fillier.
