The New York Sirens are a professional ice hockey team in the New York metropolitan area. They play their home games at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The team was one of the league's six charter franchises and was founded on August 29, 2023. Their inaugural general manager was Pascal Daoust, and Howie Draper was appointed as the first head coach. The Sirens’ first three signings included national team players Alex Carpenter, Abby Roque, and Micah Zandee-Hart.

In their first season, the Sirens made history by playing in the league’s inaugural game, securing a 4-0 win against Toronto. New York finished the season without qualifying for the playoffs but won the first overall pick at the 2024 PWHL Draft. With the first pick in the 2024 PWHL draft, the Sirens selected Sarah Fillier. The team’s color scheme includes turquoise, navy blue, white, and orange.

New York Sirens Regular Season 2024-2025 Schedule

According to the PWHL, The New York Sirens will start their 2024-25 PWHL season on December 1 against the Minnesota Frost at Xcel Energy Center, with their home opener at Prudential Center on December 18 against the Toronto Sceptres. Their season will end on May 2 against the Montréal Victoire at Prudential Center. Throughout the season, the Sirens will host 13 home games.

According to the PWHL, the season includes three international breaks in December, February, and April for the 2025 IIHF Women’s World Championship. The Sirens will begin training camp on November 12, followed by two pre-season scrimmages against Minnesota and Toronto.
