New York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox shared his thoughts after a 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Sunday.
After being down 3-0 and struggling to generate much offense for the first 50 minutes, the Rangers finally found their rhythm. They scored two quick goals, one by Brett Berard and another by Will Cuylle.
This surge brought the Rangers within one goal, but the Blueshirts couldn't score again, resulting in a loss. Fox said:
"I don't even know how to describe the feeling right now," Adam Fox said. "It's definitely not good. We talk. We talk as a group and say to just try and be engaged. It definitely wears on you when you're in kind of a streak like this.
When asked what limited the Rangers' offense against the Blues, Fox responded (3:41):
"It's been the same story, right? Just kind of one and done in the O-zone, haven't sustained many cycles, many shifts with sustained pressure to make them defend. Just kind of comes right back at us and bites us in the a**."
Adam Fox, who's inked to a seven-year, $65.5 million contract, has racked up 25 points through a goal and 24 assists in 30 games this season. Meanwhile, the loss marked the 10th (3-10-0) for the Rangers in their last 13 games.
The Rangers boast a record of 15=14-1 and are fifth in the Metro Division with 31 points after 30 games.
