NHL fans reacted online to the Vegas Golden Knights' offseason moves in free agency. Looking at the Golden Knights about a year ago, they were riding high after clinching their first Stanley Cup title in only their sixth season in the league.

Following significant departures from their roster, many fans believe that the Golden Knights are now in a weaker position compared to their formidable presence in the previous season.

Key player Jonathan Marchessault, who won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP last year and was a foundational member of the "misfit" squad, left the team to join the Nashville Predators.

Additionally, forward Chandler Stephenson was enticed to the Seattle Kraken, further contributing to the notable departures that have impacted their lineup.

Here's what fans on X/Twitter had to say on the Vegas Golden Knights' offseason moves in free agency:

Another fan wrote:

"Vegas got worse this offseason they will most likely miss the playoffs next year I give them an F."
"People don’t realize the defense core is still one of best in the league and the centers are very good. The only player on that list that isn’t easy to replace is Marchy but he will come back to earth. It’s not crazy to think some of these young guys they have can score 25," another fan opined.

Here are some of the other top reactions from fans on X:

"Added 2 forwards that don't play defense and 2 goalies that are barely backup caliber.... They're trending the wrong direction as a team," one fan said.
"Marchsy is big, Stephenson hurts a little but the rest are easy to replace," another commented.
"I'm a diehard VGK fan and the roster changes are....how do I put this politely....are concerning," another fan said expressing their worries.
