When Ryan Whitney sought revenge on Pavelski through 5-year-old son Wyatt
Ryan Whitney's son Wyatt's aggressive hockey skills are taking social media by storm, but this isn't the first time the former NHL Defenseman has shared his son's hockey-playing videos. In April, Ryan tweeted an adorable video of his 5-year-old Son Wyatt playing feisty hockey and getting into altercations with other young kids. Whitney tweeted the clip with a delightful dig at former San Jose Sharks center Joe Pavelski:
"Wyatt Whitney coming in hot with the aggressive drop of the mitts. Where’s Pavelski’s son? I want revenge"
Interestingly, this was a nod to Ryan's 2009 on-ice brawl with former San Jose Sharks captain Pavelski. The intense fight broke out during the first period of the game between the Duck and the Sharks and went from initially shoving and pulling to a proper full-blown fistfight.
Pavelski and Whitney exchanged several punches before the referees intervened and separated the two players. Ryan Whitney was seen with a bleeding nose after the fight.
