Joseph Woll has talent, but fans are worried about his health. Here are some more reactions from fans on X:
"Leafs management new that Woll is injury prone! The number for the over/ under is 3 injuries for this season, l would take the over, just saying!' another fan said.
"Well shit. Stolarz is really good. I seen him taking over the 1A spot anyway but Woll can’t even get through preseason without getting injured. Then he comes back, as of yesterday he’s good to play tonight and then today comes and he can’t go like wtf," a fan said.
"Maybe the team should be handling his training regiment because he is obviously not doing something properly. All these lower body injuries," a fan said.
Joseph Woll's injury has prompted Leafs to make last minute changes
Joseph Woll experienced tightness after practice, leading to goalie Dennis Hildeby being called up from the AHL. Coach Craig Berube hasn't ruled Woll out for the next game against the New Jersey Devils.
Anthony Stolarz will be in the goal against the Devils on Wednesday instead of Woll. Stolarz, 30, was signed by Toronto after a strong season with the Florida Panthers, where he had a 2.03 goals-against average.
Forward Max Pacioretty praised Stolarz for his size and skills in goal.
“Really, really, really good goalie,” Pacioretty said for Stolarz per NHL.com, “... He’s massive in there. He’s really big, takes up a lot of net."
It will be interesting to see how he will perform and whom the Leafs will rely on late in the season.
