Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman is grabbing headlines for more than his on-ice skills. With his future with the team in doubt, Swayman recently turned eyes by performing with a guitar at a Dalton & the Sheriffs concert.

Swayman has been in contract talks with the Bruins, and they have yet to reach an agreement. He shared his concert experience on his Instagram story. The first story features a video of him entering with the guitar at the concert. He captioned it:

The timing of Jeremy Swayman's concert appearance is notable. His contract negotiations with the Bruins have stalled, and he might miss training camp and preseason games. Bruins insider Fluto Shinzawa mentioned that this could extend into the season if a deal isn’t reached.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if this goes into camp and he’s not signed, Shinzawa said on Saturday (via Bruins Rinkside show). "I think we’ve come to know Jeremy as someone who is very sure of himself, very confident, very secure in what he’s done and what he can be."

Swayman reportedly wants more than $10 million yearly, while the Bruins have offered around $6.2 million. This gap in expectations has led to a standstill.

Meanwhile, the Bruins have acquired Joonas Korpisalo from the Ottawa Senators to fill the goaltender role. The Bruins might face bigger goaltending issues if Swayman and the team don’t reach an agreement soon. Swayman must sign his contract by Dec. 1 to play this season. The team and fans wait for a resolution that will affect the season.

Brad Marchand talked contract talks and Jeremy Swayman's pending deal

Brad Marchand acknowledged the ongoing contract talks but said it’s out of their control.

"It's a big topic of conversation with the fans and the media, and this is part of the business, and we all are really looking forward to when it does get done and the process is over and he is back with the group," Marchand said via The Boston Globe on Thursday.
"But that's obviously out of our hands and we don't get involved in any of that. So it'll be great when everything gets kind of squared away."

There is still confidence that Swayman's deal will be completed before training camp starts on Wednesday.
