Taylor Hall and the Chicago Blackhawks are struggling mightily. Being last place in the entire NHL with a record of 12-24-2 is not sitting well with the team's key players. Unfortunately, it got even worse on Tuesday afternoon in front of a national audience.

The Blackhawks were blown out 6-2 by the St. Louis Blues at the iconic Wrigley Field in the 16th edition of the Winter Classic. Chicago was quite frankly dominated from start to finish.

Taylor Hall scored one of Chicago's two goals on the power play in the first period, but it wasn't close to enough to keep up with the Blues.

Blackhawks reporter Ben Pope shared on X what Hall had to say following the 6-2 loss to St. Louis:

"Taylor Hall looked on the verge of tears in the locker room," Pope shared, before reporting what Hall said.
"'I'm shocked at how we played. It's really disappointing. Our fans have been through so much this year and they really came and supported us today... For us to lay an egg like that, I'm really sad for the people that support us.'"

Hall statistically has had a solid season one year removed from tearing his ACL. The 33-year-old winger has put up 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists) in 37 games, though that production has not resulted in success for the team.

Taylor Hall's teammate Connor Bedard also shared his frustrations after the loss

Taylor Hall wasn't the only Chicago Blackhawk to share his disappointment and anger with the team's performance in the Winter Classic. Second-year star Connor Bedard made his feelings clear, expressing his frustration after the loss and saying the Blackhawks got "dog-walked."

Here's what Bedard had to say in his postgame media availability:

"Those tickets aren't cheap. I feel bad for our fanbase, coming out to this and laying an egg."

While it's still very early in Connor Bedard's career, the Blackhawks need to show some improvements and some hope for the future before he becomes too disgruntled.

Bedard, Hall, and the Blackhawks will try to end their five-game losing streak on Friday night at the United Center where they host the Montreal Canadiens. The puck drops at 8 p.m. EST.
