On Wednesday night, Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand attended the Bruins Foundation’s Black and Gold gala event with his wife Katrina Sloane. Goaltender Jeremy Swayman and former Bruin Patrice Bergeron were also in attendance with their partners, Alessandra Iacaboni and Stephanie Bertrand.
The Black & Gold gala event benefits the Bruins Foundation which has been raising funds and donating across various causes and charities in New England. It comes just one day after the Bruins hosted Mental Health Awareness Night on Jan. 14.
The official handle of the Boston Bruins posted a few clips from the event on their X account. One of the clips showed Brad Marchand and Katrina Sloane posing together with Patrice Bergeron and Stephanie Bertrand.
The Bruins captain dressed in a formal black suit for the evening while Katrina dazzled in a shimmery floor length golden gown. Patrice Bergeron wore a sleek tuxedo with a bow tie and Stephanie sported a black designer outfit.
The Bruins X account also shared a clip of Jeremy Swayman and his girlfriend Alessandra Iacaboni arriving at the gala event.
“Lookin’ sharp, Sway 👌 The Black & Gold Gala, benefitting the Boston Bruins Foundation, is underway!” the post was captioned.
Earlier in the day, Iacaboni posted a mirror selfie with Swayman on her Instagram stories before heading off to the party. Swayman wore a formal black suit while Iacaboni sported a gorgeous strapless black gown with a high slit on one side.
The gala event also marked 50 years of ownerships of the Bruins for Chairman Jeremy Jacobs.
Bruins host Mental Health Awareness Night at TD Garden
Earlier on Tuesday, the Boston Bruins hosted Mental Health Awareness Night in collaboration with Mass General Brigham hospital during their home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning at TD Garden.
Representatives from Shoulder Check, which is an initiative promoting support through small acts of kindness, set up a table on the concourse behind Loge 20 on the night. Fans were encouraged to fill out "I Check On" cards, sharing why they prioritize checking in on the mental health of loved ones.
During the event, Dr. Katherine Koh was recognized as the Community All-Star, presented by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
The Boston Bruins Foundation 50/50 Raffle was arranged to support the Massachusetts General Hospital Hispanic Psychiatry Clinic. The raffle ran through the beginning of the third period of the game on Tuesday.
