The Boston Bruins go on the road to play the Nashville Predators on Tuesday, with the puck scheduled to drop at 8:45 p.m. ET. Boston (3-2-1) is coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to the Utah Hockey Club, and ahead of their road game, here is what the Bruins lineup should look like.
Predicted Bruins lineup
Forwards
- Pavel Zacha - Elias Lindholm - David Pastrnak
- Brad Marchand - Charlie Coyle - Justin Brazeau
- Trent Frederic - Matthew Poitras - Morgan Geekie
- John Beecher - Mark Kastelic - Cole Koepke
Boston's forward group has surprisingly been good to begin the season, as the Bruins are also getting depth scoring.
However, one change Boston has made is putting Justin Brazeau on the second line, and the forward is excited to play with Marchand and Coyle.
“I just have to do my best to complement them, they’re obviously great players, who do a lot of special things with the puck,” Brazeau said, via FanSided. “I think I’ve just got to get in on the forecheck, get pucks back to them and go to the net and try to open up some lanes for them to make some stuff happen.”
Defensemen
- Mason Lohrei - Charlie McAvoy
- Hampus Lindholm - Brandon Carlo
- Nikita Zadorov - Andrew Peeke
The Bruins have appeared to find their defensive pairings after mixing and matching in the first couple of games, as Boston is spreading out its top players across the three pairings.
Goalies
- Jeremy Swayman
- Joonas Korpisalo
Swayman has started to turn a corner and get back to his old self after missing all of practice camp and preseason due to his contract stalemate.
Boston Bruins vs. Nashville Predators preview
Boston is a +105 underdog on the road against the 0-5 Predators.
Nashville was the big winner of free agency, but it is still looking for its first win of the season.
Boston's offense has been an issue to begin the season, and although Juuse Saros has struggled in net, this is a good spot for the Predators to get their first win of the season. The Bruins aren't playing well, and this is a desperate Nashville team that should come out aggressive and get out to an early lead to get a big win.
