Calgary Flames assistant GM Chris Snow's wife shares update on his battle with ALS

Chris Snow's wife shares an update regarding his health status.

Chris Snow, the Calgary Flames assistant general manager, has had ALS for over three years. Chris was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. His family was told by the doctor that he wouldn't live much longer because the disease worsens in the later stages. He is still fighting the disease and receiving medical treatment.

Chris' condition deteriorated after being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit in December of last year. His wife, Kelsie Snow, continues to tweet updates on Chris' condition.

Kelsie Snow has been providing updates since her husband's hospitalization in December of last year.

"Yesterday Chris was admitted to hospital. He was doing great when kids & I left at 8 pm. Overnight he took a turn for the worse and had to be put on a ventilator. Now we wait to see if he will get better. We are very sad and very scared. Hug your people. Life is so tenuous."- Kelsie Snow

Kelsie then also updated the hockey community after Chris was discharged from the ventilator and informed everyone on Twitter that Chris was breathing on his own.

Kelsie recently shared an update on Chris' health and informed the hockey world that Chris will be back home soon.

The hockey community and fans have showered Chris with love and support during this difficult time in his life. Fans are praying for Chris' health and are excited to see him return to work.

Calgary Flames GM gets emotional talking about Chris Snow

When asked about Chris Snow's health status, Flames GM Brad Treliving became emotional. Brad revealed that he has been receiving texts from Chris from while in the emergency room.

Chris Snow has been a part of the NHL's team management for 13 years. He was named the Calgary Flames' assistant general manager in 2019. His role was to work closely with GM Brad Treliving and oversee all hockey matters at the club.

Chris Snow was also in charge of developing a hockey research and development program that supports several aspects of the Calgary Flames organization. Prior to joining the Flames, Chris worked as the director of hockey operations for the Minnesota Wild.
