On October 20, the team will honor Bryan Little ahead of a matchup with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Jets, Bryan Little speaks on one-day contract and retirement
Bryan Little said it will be a "great honor" to retire as a member of the Winnipeg Jets organization, the team he played with for the majority of his career.
“I had the privilege to play in Winnipeg and in front of the amazing fans for nine seasons, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to thank the Jets, their fans and the city of Winnipeg," Little said via NHL.com. "It will truly be a full circle moment for my family and I to celebrate my retirement in the building where I have so many special memories.”
Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff said he was a "crucial" piece of Jets history and a "key contributor, humble and hardworking."
“He cared about his teammates and was a quiet, but important leader in the dressing room," Cheveldayoff added. "Bryan demonstrated tremendous professionalism throughout his time here and it is a true shame that his career was cut short due to injury."
He closed by expressing his excitement that True North Sports + Entertainment, the Winnipeg Jets, and fans across the NHL will be able to celebrate the outgoing superstar.
