The NHL announced the 2024-25 regular-season schedule on Jul. 2. The season will start in Europe on Friday, October 4. The season begins in North America on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The NHL posted on X (formerly Twitter):

"30. MORE. DAYS. It all starts in North America on October 8th!"

Fans reacted to the post on the platform.

"Hopefully get to a game across the pond one day, would love to see an League game happen over here too as a one off like NFL do," a fan tweeted.

The NHL 2024-25 season will start in abroad

The Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils will also play in Prague on Oct. 4 and 5. The Dallas Stars and Florida Panthers will follow with games in Tampere, Finland on Nov. 1 and 2.

The season begins in North America with several games in October. The St. Louis Blues will face the Seattle Kraken on Oct. 8. TNT will broadcast two games on Oct. 9: the New York Rangers at the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Vegas Golden Knights against the Colorado Avalanche. Canadian teams will also play on Oct. 9, including Toronto at Montreal, Winnipeg at Edmonton and Calgary at Vancouver.

Prime Video will broadcast league games on Oct. 14 with Canadiens vs. Penguins. They will show 26 Monday night games this season.

Notable dates include the Winter Classic on Dec. 31, where the Blues will play the Blackhawks at Wrigley Field. Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada is on Jan. 18. The 4 Nations Face-Off tournament will take place in February. The season ends on Apr. 17, with the Stadium Series game between the Blue Jackets and Red Wings on Mar. 1 at Ohio Stadium.
