Former NHLer Theo Fleury voiced his strong disapproval of Liberal politician Mark Carney amidst the ongoing leadership race to succeed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. As Trudeau is seemingly backing Carney, significant figures from his administration are reportedly involved in Carney's campaign efforts.
According to reports, multiple independent sources within the Liberal Party have indicated that Katie Telford, one of the top advisors of the Trudeau administration, has been actively seeking support for Carney among key party supporters, suggesting considerable backing from the Prime Minister's Office.
However, the Carney campaign has disputed these claims. Theo Fleury took to social media to express his concerns, labeling Mark Carney a "dictator" and alleging that he is a puppet of a "World Satanic Forum" aiming to lead Canada into global communism.
"Canadians meet the first dictator in our history. @MarkJCarney There aren’t going to be any more elections in Canada. Carney is a World Satanic Forum puppet and has been appointed to take Canada into Global Communism. Remember the Liberals can’t win the next election so this is why they haven’t and won’t call an election," Fleury wrote.
Justin Trudeau, who's served as Canada's Prime Minister since 2015, announced his decision to step down on January 6, marking the end of his nearly nine-year tenure. He also said that he would remain in office until his Liberal Party elects a new leader.
