Vancouver Canucks defenseman Erik Brannstrom tied the knot with Nellie Kleist in July. The couple dropped a commemorative wedding video on their Instagram accounts on Monday which included some of the highlights of their special day.
The reel drew a lot of affectionate reactions and comments from fans, close friends and family members.
“Absolutely stunning and congrats to you both with great years to come,” a user commented.
“Aww congratulations Brännströms! I love this so much!” another user wrote.
The video started with an aerial drone shot of the wedding venue, which captured the memorable scenes and happy moments of the couple. The first scene shows Erik and Nellie being congratulated by their bridesmaids and groomsmen after the ceremony. The bright smiles and laughter highlight the upbeat mood and excitement of the wedding party.
The video then segues into other moments during the wedding event, including the bride and groom posing for pictures and interacting with their wedding guests and ushers.
One of the most interesting moments was a blooper where one of the bridesmaids played a prank on Nellie. Instead of getting upset, the bride burst into laughter.
Through the brief clip, Erik and Nellie showcased the loving moments and sincere emotions they feel for each other, which they shared with all their fans and followers.
A brief recap of Erik Brannstrom's mercurial career
The Swedish player started the season with the Canucks' AHL affiliate but was called up on Oct. 16 to fill the hole left by Derek Forbort, who left for personal reasons.
Brannstrom spent the past five seasons with the Ottawa Senators, although he was sent to their affiliate and loaned out to teams like the SCL Tigers in the National League on occasion. He played 76 regular season games for the Senators last year, serving as a competent replacement for injured players.
Brannstrom was released from his contract and became an unrestricted free agent in the postseason. He signed a one-year deal with the Colorado Avalanche but was traded to the Canucks before the season started.
