Chicago Blackhawks star Connor Bedard expressed his frustration in a heated moment directed at Hawks legend Patrick Kane after a tripping penalty against the Detroit Red Wings last month.

A clip from the game, which took place at the United Center, has been making the rounds on social media. In the first period, Bedard tripped Kane, resulting in a minor penalty for tripping.

His emotions boiled over as he was caught mic'd up, saying:

"Tell him to stand on his f****g feet. Soft as f***."

Connor Bedard's outburst was likely not intended as a personal attack on Kane. Instead, it appeared that Bedard was trying to convey his frustration to the referee, arguing that the Blackhawks legend had gone down too easily on the play.

Patrick Kane mentions one aspect that makes Connor Bedard special

Ahead of the Red Wings-Blackhawks matchup last month, Patrick Kane shared his thoughts on Connor Bedard.

The Blackhawks legend praised Bedard as a truly special player for his playmaking skills:

“He's obviously a special player. He does a lot of things that not many guys can do in the league, as far as the way he can stickhandle around defenders or get his shot off.
Coming into the league, maybe his playmaking was a little underrated, too. You see a lot of plays that he makes for his linemates. "He's had a great start to his career, and I'm sure he'll continue to get better and better," Kane added

Patrick Kane left an indelible legacy in Chicago that will be challenging for future players to replicate. However, Bedard is focused on forging his own path and isn't preoccupied with Kane's accomplishments.

As Bedard embarks on his career, he aims to establish his own identity, much like Kane did during his earlier years. Bedard has racked up 19 points through five goals and 15 assists in 25 games this season.

Meanwhile, with an 8-15-2 record, the Blackhawks are at the bottom of the Central Division after 18 games. They face the Boston Bruins next on Wednesday. The puck at the United Center drops at 7:30 p.m. ET.
