The NHL Rookie Draft, scheduled for June 28, 2023, may as well be renamed "The Connor Bedard Draft." A consensus top prospect in this year's draft, Bedard has continued to separate himself from the rest of the draft class.

The 17-year-old from North Vancouver, British Colombia, has been a top prospect since becoming draft eligible. While a clear-cut No. 1 pick is not always the case in these drafts, he has showcased his skills at all levels, creating a sizable gap between himself and the remaining prospects.

Connor Bedard has 71 goals and 72 assists in 57 games this season with the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League (WHL). He leads second-placed Chase Wheatcroft of the Prince George Cougars by 36 points.

While everyone knows that Bedard will be the first-overall selection in this year's upcoming draft, the talented forward has sent Twitter into a frenzy for a different reason. The future NHL star showed off a new haircut that he said was inspired by Chicago Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane.

The new haircut drew attention online, with some fans asking themselves which star wore it better. While Connor Bedard might be the next NHL superstar, but when it comes to this iconic haircut, Patrick Kane remains the king.

Arguably the greatest American hockey player of all time, Patrick Kane has enjoyed one of the most successful careers of his generation. After being drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks with the first overall pick in the 2007 NHL Draft, Kane quickly emerged as one of the top goal-scoring talents in the NHL.

During 16 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, Patrick Kane won three Stanley Cups, was a four-time All-Star, the 2012-13 Conn Smythe winner, the 2015-16 Art Ross Trophy winner, the 2015-16 Hart Trophy winner and the 2015-16 Ted Lindsay Trophy winner.

Along with Jonathan Toews, the duo made the Blackhawks one of the most successful franchises in the past 25 years.

A look at which teams have the best odds of landing Connor Bedard in the draft
