Connor McDavid leads Edmonton Oilers to Stanley Cup Final

The Oilers made a comeback in Game 4 and defeated the Panthers’ by a huge seven-goal margin. This is the second time this season that the Oilers made a comeback following a bad start.

The first time they made a comeback was during the start of the regular season. It was Connor McDavid who was the main factor in the Oilers’ comeback.

When Darnell Nurse struggled, McDavid defended him and also stood up for teammates in scrums against the Florida Panthers. McDavid is the leading scorer in the NHL playoffs with 38 points.

Despite the Oilers being down 3-1 in the series against Florida, McDavid continues to push back. He had four points in Game 4 to avoid a sweep.

In the playoffs, McDavid delivered in crucial games with multiple assists. He broke Wayne Gretzky’s record for the most assists in a single postseason. However, McDavid's focus remains on winning the Stanley Cup and not individual achievements.

“Obviously not the focus with where we’re at, but not lost on me what he means to the game,” McDavid said said (via globalnews.com). “Not the focus.”

Connor McDavid's efforts are the main reason for the Oilers' success. Game 5 is scheduled to take place on June 18, 2024, at 8 PM ET.
