Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle got married in July 2024. From waterboarding to attending teammates’ engagement parties, the offseason has been quite eventful for the newlyweds.
While Lauren usually posts the couple’s memorable moments, her yoga routine, or snaps from getaways with friends on her Instagram, the interior designer shared three unique salad jar recipes with her followers on Tuesday.
The first recipe was Cilantro Lime Fresca Jars. This jar included shredded carrots, shredded green cabbage, brown rice, grilled corn, sweet potato, and green onion. Lauren made the dressing by blending 1/4 cup of plain Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup of cilantro, the juice of 2 limes, 1 tablespoon of agave, 1 clove of garlic, and 1/4 cup of lemon-infused olive oil.

Next was the Chopped Thai Salad Cups, which featured shredded carrots, shredded purple and green cabbage, chopped cucumbers, white basmati rice, chopped cilantro, and edamame. The dressing was a blend of 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter, 4 tablespoons rice vinegar, 3 tablespoons soy sauce, the juice of 1 lime, 2 cloves of garlic, 4 tablespoons sesame oil, 1 tablespoon minced ginger, 1 tablespoon agave, and salt and pepper to taste. Lauren instructed blending the dressing until ‘smooth’.
The last recipe that Lauren Kyle shared on her story was the Big Mac Chop Chop Salad Jars. This jar included ground turkey cooked with cumin, chopped tomato, red onion, chopped pickle, chopped iceberg lettuce and sesame seeds. The dressing combined 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1-2 tablespoons ketchup, 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish, 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1/2 tablespoon sriracha, and a pinch of salt.
Lauren Kyle and Celeste Desjardins’ fresh off getaway in French Riviera
Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle’s destination wedding had been a grand event with friends and family attending the week-long celebrations. Once the festivities were over and the Oilers’ couple had settled in, Lauren Kyle paired up with Leon Draisaitl’s fiancee Celeste Desjardins for a trip to the French Riviera.
Although Celeste had teased a possible ‘venue hunting’ purpose for their France tour after her engagement in July, it seemed the girls went to enjoy some time together after the rush of festivities in the offseason.
Lauren and Celeste went sightseeing in various places, stayed in a French ‘Chateau’, and concluded the final part of their trip at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, a four-seasons resort.
