In the next story, she posted a selfie with McDavid.
Lauren is also working on her sportswear brand, Sports Club Atelier. On Instagram, she showed a preview of the brand’s first collection. The collection features varsity jackets with team-inspired designs. The jackets come in black, beige and red, with embroidered patches and bold lettering.
They married in July 2023 after McDavid’s first Stanley Cup Finals appearance. While he is focused on his hockey career, Lauren is building her brand. The couple’s holiday skate date showed that they find time for each other despite their busy schedules.
Connor McDavid reached 1,000 NHL points with heartwarming celebration featuring wife Lauren and dog Lenny
On Thursday, Connor McDavid reached 1,000 NHL points in 659 games. He became the fourth-fastest player to achieve this milestone, behind Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Mike Bossy. The Edmonton Oilers celebrated his achievement with a pregame ceremony at Rogers Place before facing the Columbus Blue Jackets.
During the ceremony, McDavid received a golden stick from the Oilers and a custom Rolex watch from teammates Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Darnell Nurse. A video tribute highlighted his journey to this milestone. His family, including his wife Lauren Kyle and their dog, Lenny, joined the celebration.
The couple spoke about how Lenny has provided comfort after tough games, making this milestone even more personal and memorable.
"No kids, so he's the closest thing I've got," McDavid said on Friday, via Sportsnet. "He's a great little dog and I love him. It was great having him out there.”
"I think the (after the) worst games, when you come home and your dog's just there for nothing but support, and that means the most to him (Connor), and he's (Lenny) just been there throughout the years to support him," Lauren said, via Sportsnet. "So it means so much for us that he was able to be a part of this moment. So we're really happy”
Lenny’s presence was a special part of the celebration, representing the constant support he has provided for McDavid’s career.
