Craig Smith and Taylor Hall strike a pose with their adorable little ones ahead of New Year’s Eve 

Chicago Blackhawks players Craig Smith and Taylor Hall shared special moments with their families before New Year’s Eve. On Tuesday, they posed with their little ones on the ice. Taylor Hall shared the stories on his Instagram from the 2025 NHL Winter Classic at Wrigley Field.

The first story shows him holding his son, Stetson. In the second, his wife, Rachel, holds their son and the family smiles on the ice.

In another story, Hall helps Stetson skate, holding him while making sure he has fun. The next image shows both families on the ice. Craig Smith holds Stetson in his arms. In the final photo, Hall and Smith pose for the camera while holding their toddlers.

Taylor Hall married Rachel Rush in 2022. Their son, Stetson, was born in Oct. 2023. Craig Smith is married to Aleah Heinlein, and they have a toddler.

Craig Smith's wife, Aleah, is from Muskego, Wisconsin. She has a background in finance, public relations, tutoring and reporting. Aleah graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Communications and Spanish. She also studied for a year at the University of Seville. Aleah worked as an account executive at MP&F Public Relations in Nashville, Tennessee.

Rachel Rush, Hall's wife, is from Oakville, Ontario. She graduated from Queen’s University. Rachel and Taylor started dating in 2018. They got engaged in June 2021 during a trip to Nantucket. The couple married in 2022 at Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto. Rachel and Taylor’s son, Stetson, was born in Oct. 2023. Rachel prefers to keep a low profile but is sometimes seen at NHL events with her husband.

Taylor Hall and Craig Smith spent offseason in Italy with wives

In August 2024, Blackhawks teammates Taylor Hall and Craig Smith spent their offseason in Italy with their wives, Rachel and Aleah. They wore matching white outfits during their trip. Rachel shared photos on Instagram of the two players standing in an Italian street. Craig wore a white shirt, beige pants and sneakers, while Taylor wore a white T-shirt and loose white pants.

Rachel also posted a picture of Aleah and a photo of them enjoying ice cream in Rome. The couple also went on a double date at a rooftop cafe in July. Rachel shared a video of the moment. Aleah also posted a picture of Taylor and Rachel at a restaurant.
