The Vegas Golden Golden Knights defeated the Dallas Stars 3-2 in overtime on Sunday to grab a 2-0 advantage in the series. Interestingly, all four games played in the NHL Conference Finals have gone into overtime so far.

In Game 2, the Stars took an early lead, but the Vegas Golden Knights displayed resilience and managed to tie the game midway through the first period.

Game 2 took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas, where Miro Heiskanen opened the scoring for the Stars with a wrist shot assisted by Luke Glendening.

Captain Mark Stone tied the game at 1-1 for the Vegas Golden Knights after converting an assist from Chandler Stephenson for a powerplay goal.

Coming into the second period, Jason Robertson gave the Stars a 2-1 lead, scoring a snapshot goal on a powerplay from Evgenii Dadonov's feed. This was the only goal scored in the second period.

However, with less than three minutes remaining in the game, Jonathan Marchessault leveled the score at 2-2 for the Golden Knights with a snapshot goal, forcing the game into overtime.

Chandler Stephenson then sealed the victory for Vegas just 1 minute and 12 seconds into overtime, securing their second overtime win of the series and extending their lead to 2-0. Marchessault, Stephenson, and Stone were key contributors, each earning two points, while goaltender Adin Hill made 26 saves.

The two teams will go shoulder-to-shoulder in Game 3 on Tuesday.
