Montreal Canadiens legend Carey Price’s wife Angela Price has been quite vocal when it comes to expressing her political stance. She had previously made it clear that she would be voting for Donald Trump in the upcoming Presidential elections.
During an Instagram Q&A session on Tuesday, Angela Price stated that she supports Trump particularly because of his alignment with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom she admires for prioritizing children's health. Kennedy was an independent presidential candidate who dropped out and has since endorsed Trump.
“I LOVE what Kennedy stands for and feel like he is the only one taking the health of our children seriously…which at the end of the day is my top concern, and is really directing my vote in general I think he will do a way better job running the Country,” Price wrote.
She added that while she strongly desires a female president, she does not support Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.
“I desperately want a women president, truly. But not her. We can do better, we have to do better,” she wrote.
Carey Price's significant other also reflected on her brief shift to the liberal side during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she initially supported Joe Biden in hopes of uniting the country. However, she soon experienced negativity and hate, which led her to feel disconnected from the left and more aligned with right-wing values.
“But watching the manipulation of the media, the constant gaslighting and just overall obsession with celebrity and Hollywood…I find bigger picture my morals and values fall more right than left,” she added.
In response to another question, Angela Price shared that she recently became a dual citizen of Canada and the U.S., which allows her to vote in both countries' upcoming elections. She also shared a photo showing her virtual swearing-in as a Canadian citizen.
Angela Price opens up about life after Carey Price’s retirement
During the same Q&A session, Angela was asked if she misses being part of a group of the partners of NHL players now that Carey Price has retired from the rink. In response, Angela shared mixed feelings.
She mentioned that while she does miss the friendships she formed, many of the women on the team are new and she hardly knows them anymore due to the frequent changes. Angela admitted that she was never very involved in group chats or social gatherings because of her introverted nature.
“It was a beautiful period of my life and I made some friendships that will last a lifetime time but I was happy to move on to the next chapter,” she wrote.
When asked about the secret of her happy marriage with Carey Price, she admitted that while she doesn't have all the answers or a perfect marriage, the key is openly communicating.
