Boston Bruins coach Jim Montgomery has shared positive news about Elias Lindholm’s injury. Lindholm, who got injured during the team’s first practice last Thursday, is expected to return soon. Montgomery told reporters on Sunday that Lindholm would skate on Monday and rejoin the team on Tuesday.

"He'll skate tomorrow (Sept. 23). See where he's at, and we expect him back on Tuesday (Sept. 24)," Montgomery said.

Lindholm is a key player for the Bruins. The team signed him to a seven-year, $54.25 million contract in July. He is expected to be the Bruins’ new first-line center, taking over an important role. His return is important for the team, as he needs time to build chemistry with his new line mates, David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha.

The Bruins pursued Lindholm for several seasons before signing him. His two-way skills and experience make him a strong fit for the team. His quick recovery is good news, especially with the season approaching.

The Bruins have gone through big changes this offseason, with Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci no longer with the team. Elias Lindholm’s return will help fill the gap they left. Bruins fans can expect to see him in his top form, ready to help the team this season.

David Pastrnak has high praise for teammate Elias Lindholm

The Boston Bruins fans are excited to see Elias Lindholm play with David Pastrnak on the same line. On the other hand, coach Jim Montgomery hopes Lindholm will strengthen the power play and help find the right combinations for the season.

Lindholm practiced with Pastrnak on the first day of camp but missed the next day for "maintenance." Pastrnak praised Lindholm, comparing him to former Bruins players David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron.

"He's a little bit of both (David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron)," Pastrnak told reporters on Sept 21st. [2:10] "Obviously, he's a hell of a two-way player, and he has a high hockey IQ. Of course, he's a righty. I've played most of my career with a right-handed centerman."
"I'm excited to build the chemistry. Whether we play together or not, we're for sure going to have some looks on power play or 5-on-5. Excited he's going to be a big part of our team."

Pastrnak joked that Elias Lindholm needed rest after handling the "Czech pace" at practice.

The Bruins began their preseason Sunday against the New York Rangers at TD Garden. They lost the game 3-2, and are now focused on improving their roster co-ordination.
