Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk and his wife Emma welcomed the birth of their first child, a baby boy named Ryder Keith Tkachuk. The couple announced the news on Brady's Instagram account, sharing an adorable photo of newborn Ryder along with the caption:

"Ryder Keith Tkachuk, our whole world."

The Ottawa Senators also shared the picture with a congratulatory message for the Tkachuk family.

Brady and Emma married in July 2023. Brady's older brother and fellow NHL player Matthew Tkachuk was excited to become an uncle and shared a post about it on his Instagram story.

The Tkachuk brothers have always been close, so it's no surprise Keith is thrilled about the addition of a new member to the family.

Brady Tkachuk talks about his brother Matthew's reaction when they announced the pregnancy

When Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk and his wife Emma announced they were expecting their first child, the reactions from family and friends poured in.

One notable reaction was from Brady's older brother and Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk, who was excited to be an uncle.

"He's fired up. He's already expecting to be a godfather. So he already said that right away. So that's his expectation, and he'll be disappointed if not, so we'll have to figure out what to do," Brady said with a laugh when asked about Matthew's reaction.

Despite playing for rival teams, the Tkachuk brothers have always been close. They grew up together in St. Louis while their dad Keith played for the Blues.

Brady Tkachuk announced the news of his first child uniquely.

"We did the cake, and yeah, I saw the color blue in the cup, and it was pretty cool. I'm not going to lie, it's pretty special. I sent the video to our family so they can kind of see the reactions to this, I'd say pretty special, of course. We're so lucky and so blessed for it to happen to us, and we're just excited for come September now."

For Brady and Emma, starting their family in Ottawa holds special meaning and sentimental value. Brady was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in 2018 and has been with the team since making his NHL debut.
