Evander Kane’s fiancée Mara Teigen captures heartfelt father-son moment

Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane has been spending some quality time with his family during his enforced injury layoff. The 33-year-old has been recovering after multiple surgeries in the preseason to repair hernias, hip adductor muscles and two torn abdominal muscles.

Kane’s fiancee Mara Teigen shared a photo of him with their son on her Instagram Story feed. Kane and Mara share two boys, Iverson and Hendrix, and are expecting their third child. Kane also has a daughter, Kensington, with his ex-wife.

The latest post Mara shared showed Kane kissing his son on the forehead. The caption read:

The photo was part of a carousel Mara shared. The other pics and a video are selfies captioned:

“What’s that saying? New Year, new me?”

The Kane family is making the most of the holiday season. Evander Kane shared a carousel of photos on Dec. 30 showcasing all the fun family celebrations throughout the last month of the year.

The photos show Kane and Mara with the kids, the children enjoying Christmas activities like baking cookies, and having a good time all together.

The Oilers forward on January 2 shared his first post of 2025. The post consisted of a large carousel of family photos marking moments and memories of the year gone by for Kane and his family. The caption read:

“Small look into 2024….. can’t wait for 2025.”

Some of the memorable photos from the collection showed Kane skating with his daughter, having a fun time in the pool with his kids, and enjoying some moments with Mara.

Kane also shared photos of him meeting famous people and sports celebrities; he has a wide grin on his face while standing with professional MMA fighter Jon Jones.

Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch said on Dec. 10 that the team would not be able to assess Kane’s condition accurately for at least a month. With that deadline approaching, Oilers fans will be waiting with bated breath for further developments.
