The recent wildfires in Los Angeles, which began on Wednesday, have devastated areas including Pacific Palisades and Pasadena, destroying over 12,000 structures and resulting in at least 24 fatalities. Former Leafs defenseman Dion Phaneuf’s wife and Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert has extended her aid to displaced families through Paris Hilton’s fundraising campaign.

On Sunday, Cuthbert shared a portal for Hilton’s Emergency Fund collection campaign hosted by the socialite's 11:11 Media Impact charity. Per the campaign’s page on the Every Org website, over $258,687 was raised through the portal.

“Thank you to the 3,000+ who donated and led by example—proving that collective action creates incredible impact. Because of you, we can restore hope, rebuild communities, and change lives,” Hilton wrote on her Instagram story.

Ex-NHLer Valeri Bure’s wife Candace partners with OpenClosit to help LA wildfire displaced families

NHL legend Valeri Bure’s wife, Candace Bure, has partnered with OpenClosit to help donate clothing and essentials to those affected by the wildfire. She has since actively posted on her Instagram to raise awareness and encourage people to donate to the cause.

“@openclosit on Montana in Santa Monica is receiving gently used and new donations of all kinds. Specifically more mens and children’s clothing, pet food, phone and computer chargers, and much more. Please see my story for specifics. If you’ve been displaced, please come and take what you need! - we are in this together❤️🙏🏻”, Candace Bure posted on Saturday.

Candace was also present at their Santa Monica outlet, where she helped with the whole operation.

Earlier on Tuesday, Candace Bure shared a video of the blaze on her Instagram stories, taken from somewhere close to the Pacific Palisades, where she was the first few hours after the wildfire spread in Southern California. She also posted a message asking for prayers for the safety of firefighters and residents. Valeri Bure’s daughter, Natasha Bure, supported her mother’s efforts by sharing similar messages on her own social media accounts.
