"I’m so sick of turning this f**king team on to watch this mediocre ass hockey after the season you had last year" another fan wrote.
"4 straight losses. Cant score. Vet “leaders” taking awful penalties. Lazy dump and chase that equates to a turnover every time. This team needs a change." a user said.
"Whose ready to listen to Lalonde talk about all the “positives” that came from this game and how the “underlying numbers were good ”" another user said.
Detroit Red Wings HC Derek Lalonde's thoughts on 2-1 loss to Ottawa Senators
After losing their fourth straight game with a 2-1 defeat against the Ottawa Senators, Detroit Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde voiced his disappointment but remained optimistic about his team's play.
"This is a game you hope to take at least a point of, unfortunately,we didn't in the end.” Lalonde said in his post-game press conference. “I thought our guys handled it very well and again, we had some looks, we had our chances, very unfortunate how it ended in the end."
When asked about losing four straight games and how he planned to keep up the team's confidence level, Lalonde responded,
"Well, not feel sorry for ourselves. We played just fine of late, we've been gobbling up some points, it's just (about) finding a way to get these over the finish line.”
The Detroit Red Wings will look to bounce back from this losing skid when they host the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night at Little Caesars Arena.
