The calls for Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet to be fired are growing louder after the team's 6-1 loss against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night.
The defeat drops the Vancouver Canucks to a 19-14-10 record on the season and extends their losing skid to ten of their last thirteen games.
Fans are calling for Coach Tocchet's dismissal after the heavy defeat at Canada Life Centre.

"FIRE TOCHETT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH."
Another fan wrote:
"Bro Vancouver needs some huge coach changes." on X.
Here are some fan reactions:
"Team has absolutely no offense. We need to fire Tochett. And Petterson should be assigned to Abbotsford Canucks for a few weeks so he can earn his way back. He does nothing for the team apart from 1 good game every 6-7 games." one fan wrote.
"Every single player and coach should be embarrassed. They better play well during the home stand" another fan wrote.
"The Rick Tocchet has been fired tweet is gonna hit like crack" a user commented.
"Should be the final game of Tochett's tenure as coach. Gutless performance." another user wrote.
Kyle Connor (hat trick), Neal Pionk, Nino Niederreiter and Mark Scheifele scored for the Jets. The Vancouver Canucks lone goal came from Nils Hoglander in the third period when the game was already out of reach.
Connor Hellebuyck made 23 stops, while Kevin Lankinen made 27 saves in the loss.
HC Rick Tocchet reflects on Vancouver Canucks’ 6-1 Loss to Winnipeg
Head Coach Rick Tocchet acknowledged the team's struggles with consistency, saying it's hard to be consistent and do the right things all the time.
“It's hard, it's hard to go through people, it's hard to serve properly, it's hard to reload properly, it's hard to get the pucks out when we need to, it's hard to take pucks in the net. And you can't do it once in a while if you want to be a good team. That's what it is," Tocchet said.
Regarding the loss, Tocchet didn't mind the start as the team had some pucks, but they were getting deflected and people were trying to take the puck to the interior.
“We're just missing early and then, all of a sudden bang, bang, miscommunication, we don't reload properly. Obviously, the last half of the game a little bit of fumbling around." He added.
The Vancouver Canucks will face the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday as they look to bounce back from this defeat.
