In a TSN "Hot or Not" segment, analyst Frankie Corrado discussed Sidney Crosby's future with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Despite the team missing the playoffs for the last two seasons, Corrado believes Crosby will still make at least one more playoff appearance with the Penguins.

(1:07) "I'm going to say not, and this might be an unpopular opinion based on the lack of success that the Pittsburgh Penguins have had the last couple of years." Corrado said.
"But I find it hard to believe that in "now or never" mode, we are not going to see Sidney Crosby playing in the playoffs as a member of the Penguins. And this year specifically, the Metro is a little more wide open."

The Metropolitan Division is more open this year, giving Pittsburgh a chance to secure a playoff spot.

"Outside of the Rangers and the Devils, who have to take a significant step, the Islanders aren't overly exciting, Carolina might take a step back, and the Washington Capitals are trying to improve.
"You can put the Pittsburgh Penguins in that category of teams—clump them in there—and maybe they have a chance." Corrado explained.

Crosby, now entering his 20th season, remains one of the NHL’s top players. He had a strong 2022-23 season, scoring 94 points and moving into 10th place on the NHL's all-time scoring list.

"It's now or never for the Penguins, but with Sidney Crosby maybe playing for a few more years, we might see him in the playoffs one more time as a Penguin. I sure hope we do, just as hockey fans," Corrodo added.

While the Penguins aren’t automatic contenders anymore, Crosby and Evgeni Malkin give them a fighting chance. The team needs to make some changes, but with Crosby’s performances on the rise, they could make the playoffs again.

Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon rode Zamboni through Tim Hortons drive-thru

On August 23, 2024, Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon were seen riding a Zamboni through a Tim Hortons drive-thru in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. This likely commercial shoot was shared by the Spitting Chiclets podcast on X, calling it an

"Average summer day in Canada."

Both Crosby and MacKinnon are from Nova Scotia and have been close friends since childhood. Despite their friendship, they take their NHL matchups seriously, especially when Crosby's Penguins play MacKinnon's Avalanche, often referred to as the "Battle of Nova Scotia."

Meanwhile, Crosby’s contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins remains unsigned. His current deal ends on July 1, 2025. With training camp approaching, there’s pressure for him to sign soon, but many expect it to happen before then.
