Fans reacted to Canada's head coach Dave Cameron’s response to Canada's shocking 4-3 quarterfinal loss to the Czechs at the World Junior Hockey Championships.

This marked the second straight year that the Czechs knocked Canada out in the quarterfinals.

After the game, when a reporter asked, "Do you have any regrets?", Cameron replied, "No."

His response irked fans on social media, with one tweeting:

"He shouldn't coach the team again."

Another fan wrote,

"He’ll never get this chance again." on X.

Here are some fan reactions:

"Once he reflects on this tournament, that answer will be different. Many poor choices made by this coaching staff" one fan wrote.
"Very difficult tournament for the Canadians. Lots to point fingers at. Just never meshed as a team. So much noise and outside chatter around the team as well that seemed to seep into the room." another fan wrote.
"Is Canada no longer a top 3 hockey country? USA and Czechia clearly better now, maybe Sweden and Latvia too?" a user commented.
"LOL. All of Canada has a regret. Cameron being chosen as coach! This tournament should haunt him and make him lose sleep! He's a brutal coach!" another fan wrote.

The Czech Republic will now face the United States in the semifinals. Sweden and Finland also advanced to the semis with wins over Latvia and Slovakia, respectively.

Paul Bissonnette puts his name in the hat to become Canada's next World Juniors head coach

Former NHL enforcer Paul Bissonnette joked on the "Spittin' Chiclets" podcast that he aspires to coach Team Canada at the IIHF World Championship.

Bissonnette likened himself to legendary coach Herb Brooks, who led the underdog American team to a shocking gold medal victory over the Soviet Union at the 1980 Olympics.

"I mean, I would love an opportunity to coach Team Canada next year," Bissonnette said. "Maybe like a Herb Brooks type of situation...I got a Wayne Gretzky blazer on...I could step behind that bench and fire those guys up."

Bissonnette gave a hilarious reason for his statement, saying his experience doing lineup reads for junior hockey games qualifies him for the role.

"I did a lineup read for the Oil Kings and they won a f**king championship," he said.

Following the semifinals on Saturday, the victorious teams will compete in the gold medal match on Sunday.
