The 26-year-old player, who made his NHL debut in 2015, has already received multiple achievement awards, putting him in the running to become one of the greatest NHL players.

In his eight years as a professional hockey player, Connor McDavid has recorded a total of 12 hat tricks in his NHL career.

On November 19, 2016, he played against the Dallas Stars and recorded the first hat trick of his professional career. It is interesting to note that Connor entered the game without a goal in his previous 10 games, but he silenced all of the doubters who had been pointing fingers at him by scoring three beautiful goals on the night.

He also scored a hat trick for the 12th time in his career on October 28, 2022, when the Oilers defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 6-5.

Since Connor McDavid is just 26 years old and still has a lot of time left in his career, we can anticipate that the number of hat tricks that he has scored will continue to rise in the years to come.

Connor McDavid and Edmonton Oilers this season

Connor McDavid has already played 52 games this season and has 94 points on 41 goals and 53 assists. He now leads the NHL players' leaderboard with 94 points.

With 30 games left, the 26-year-old could reach the 150-point mark if he continues at the same pace. If successful, he would become the first player to reach 150 points in a single season since 1989. He would be the sixth player in NHL history to reach this milestone.

If the leaderboard remains the same by the end of the season, Connor McDavid will be tied for third all-time with five Art Ross Trophies. The Oilers star will also become the first player to win three consecutive Art Ross Trophies since Wayne Gretzky.

His team, the Edmonton Oilers (29-18-5), is presently third in the Pacific Division with 63 points, only three points behind the division leaders, the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Edmonton Oilers will meet the Ottawa Senators at the Canadien Tire Center on Saturday, February 11th. The puck is scheduled to drop at 12:30 p.m. ET.
