Philadelphia Flyers extended their point streak to five games
Saturday's win over the New Jersey Devils extended the Philadephia Flyers' point streak to five games. They've gone 4-0-1 during that stretch, with three wins over divisional opponents in Columbus, New Jersey and the New York Islanders.
Philadelphia had lost four consecutive games before they began this point streak. The duo of Travis Konecny and Morgan Frost has been the catalyst to their success. Konecny has racked up eight points (one goal, seven assists), while Frost has amassed five points (three goals, two assists). Goaltender Samuel Ersson has also stepped up, going 4-0-0, allowing just seven total goals, along with one shutout.
Should rookie Matvei Michkov start heating up and produce to the level that he did to begin the season, the Flyers will find themselves in a good position to bring playoff hockey back to Philadelphia.
The Flyers head home to host the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center. The puck drops at 7 p.m. ET.
