Montreal Canadiens forward Jake Evans got married to Emily Flat on June 20, 2024. Their wedding was at Luttrellstown Castle Resort in Dublin, Ireland. Friends and teammates like Nick Suzuki and Tyler Toffoli were present on the occasion.

Emily wore a stylish off-the-shoulder gown with a long train, paired with a short veil and pearl jewelry. She wore a short veil, a pearl necklace, and matching earrings with wavy hair flowing over her shoulders. Jake chose a traditional tuxedo and wore a boutonniere on his chest.

Last summer, Jake Evans proposed to Emily by a lake at her friend's cottage. The engagement photos on Instagram show Evans on one knee, holding a ring box, while Emily beams with joy.

"He blew all my dreams out of the park. It was crazy," Emily said (via NHL.com). "He got all my best friends and family members involved. He asked my parents for permission and surprised me at my friend’s cottage at a beautiful lookout point. He did a good job...."

In an interview with Safia Ahmad of NHL.com, Emily Flat shared insights about her fiancee Jake Evans. They met in 10th grade through mutual friends and have been together since.

"We met in the 10th grade. We’re from the same neighborhood. His friends and my friends connected, and that's how we ended up meeting. We’ve been at each other’s side ever since," Emily said.

At home, Emily describes Jake as funny, sarcastic, and positive, yet able to be serious when necessary.

"He's just so funny. He’s very sarcastic, goofy, light... silly," Emily said. "We laugh all day, which I think is important when you’re living with someone 24/7...."

They split household chores based on who's busier.

"I would say 50/50. It sort of depends on who’s had a busy week, who’s stressed out. We sort of pick up each other's household work," Emily said.

Emily admired Jake Evans' dedication to hockey even in high school, where he maintained strict routines.
