Vancouver Canucks forward Kiefer Sherwood is starting a new chapter in his life. The NHLer proposed to his longtime partner Ariela Smith this offseason in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
On Monday, Ariela posted their engagement pictures on Instagram. The couple was staying at Amanyara, a luxury resort. Sherwood proposed to Smith by getting down on one knee in a beach-side setting.
Smith also shared pictures from their evening there on her Instagram. She captioned the post:
“Forever and a day.”
Sherwood wore a short-sleeve knit sweater in a light beige color on the occasion, paired with light-colored trousers. Meanwhile, Ariela sported an elegant off-shoulder, flowing beige dress with delicate pleating and a fitted bodice. They sat together holding hands on their special evening, enjoying the sunset by the sea.

Former Nashville Predators winger Kiefer Sherwood signed a two-year, $3,000,000 contract with the Vancouver Canucks on Jul. 1 this offseason. His new team congratulated him on his special occasion with a post on their social media.
“A milestone moment! Congratulations to new Canuck Kiefer Sherwood on his engagement!” The official handle of the Vancouver Canucks posted on X.
Fans were also happy for their new winger and congratulated him in the comments.
“Congratulations man and welcome to Vancouver,” one user tweeted.
“Congrats on the A+ pull brother,” another fan tweeted.

Kiefer Sherwood recorded 10 goals, 17 assists and a plus-minus of +17 in 68 regular season games last season. The Canucks forward will now look to regroup with his new team and make an immediate impact in the upcoming season.
