Dallas Stars forward Mason Marchment has finally tied the knot with his partner Alexis Durham. However, it seems Hurricane Beryl thwarted some of their post-wedding celebrations as they had to take refuge at Tulum, Quintana Roo, the day after the wedding.
His former Florida Panthers teammate Brad Montour and family were also among the guests at the wedding. Mason Marchment’s newly-wed wife Alexis Durham posted a series of pictures and clips from her memorable day on her Instagram story.
Alexis also posted clips from a storm shelter in Tulum, which they later had to move to.
“Not a hurricane hitting the day after our wedding,” she wrote on one of her IG stories.
In another story, Durham made a sarcastic comment about the ill-timing of the hurricane and how it had ruined their honeymoon plans.
“The honeymoon of my dreams,” she wrote, posting a photo from the storm shelter.
Brad Montour’s wife Ryian Montour also posted a couple of clicks on her Instagram story. She posted an adorable picture of Brad and their son Kai from the wedding. Both the father and son ‘crushed’ in white, according to her IG story.
The second picture from Ryian’s story, however, was from the storm shelter. They also had to move with the Marchments to the shelter due to Hurricane Beryl amid post-wedding celebrations.
The picture showed their son Kai drinking milk from his feeder bottle while Brand napped beside his son. In the caption of the story, she wrote:
“Thanks Beryl🙃” with an upside-down smiley.
Mason Marchment and Alexis Durham are longtime sweethearts
Mason Marchment and Alexis Durham have been together for over seven years now. The couple have been dating since before Marchment’s time in the NHL.
They made their relationship official in 2017 when Mason posted a happy birthday wish for Durham from her big day celebrations. Since then, the two have appeared on multiple occasions on each other’s social media accounts.
Last year in August, Mason proposed to Alexis in a 'scenic forest setting' when they went on a walk with their dog Milo. Both of them shared snaps of the special day, including one picture where Durham was showing off the ring.
Now, about one year after their engagement, the lovebirds have finally tied the knot. The wedding event was organized by BTS Event Management at “Casamilos,” inspired by the name of their dog, “Milo.”
