Hockey fans are reacting to the new jerseys unveiled by the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) for the 2024-25 season. Their second season begins on November 30 and the anticipation is high.
BAUER Hockey shared photos on X, showing PWHL players in their respective team’s new jerseys. They posted:
“THE OFFICIAL LOOK OF THE PWHL IS HERE. Six teams. Six new identities. One collection that represents the future of the women’s game.”
The six teams from left to right are: Toronto Sceptres, Ottawa Charge, Minnesota Frost, New York Sirens, Montreal Victoire and Boston Fleet. The jerseys will also be available for fans as replicas.
Fans quickly shared their opinions on X. Some praised the designs, like one fan who said:
“Phenomenal. Love the Boston sweater, specifically.”
Others weren’t as impressed; one fan commented:
“It’s like Ottawa tried to look not good.”
The jerseys are already sparking interest and mixed reactions as the League prepares for its new season. Here are some more reactions from hockey fans on X:
"Gonna need that 3 and 4XL if you want some bigger peeps buying jerseys," a fan wrote.
"Awesome. Now we need this league in NHL 25. I want to play in Fleet colors," another wrote.
"4 blue jerseys and two red ones is uninspired. Love those logos though, hell yeah," one fan shared his opinion.
"The colors are sick and work very well I kinda wished the design styles varied a little bit more? They seem to all have the same ish template. They still look really good, just something to maybe take note for future teams," a fan provided his insights.
The league hopes the new designs will attract more fans to women’s hockey.

The PWHL jerseys were created by the Creative Agency Flower Shop, with Bauer making the designs. Kanan Bhatt-Shah, the vice president of brand and marketing, led the project.
Each team’s jersey has a unique look. The Toronto Sceptres wear blue and gold, while the Ottawa Charge features red, gold and gray. The Minnesota Frost has icy blue and purple, and the New York Sirens wear aqua and orange.
The Montreal Victoire has maroon and navy, and the Boston Fleet has dark green with wave-like patterns.
