Johnny Gaudreau’s sister Katie has continued to pay special tributes to the memory of her late brothers since the tragic accident that claimed the lives of the two NHL stars in August last year. On Friday, she reposted a throwback picture of the Gaudreau siblings on her Instagram stories.

The image featured, Johnny, Matthew, Katie, their elder sister Kristen and her husband. In the picture, the group of five were sitting on a couch in their living room.

The picture, originally shared by their sister Kristen, read “14 YEARS AGO” and was captioned with blue and red hearts.

Johnny Gaudreau’s sister Katie pens emotional message for her fiancee

Earlier this week, Katie Gaudreau shared a touching birthday message for her partner Devin Joyce. The two were set to marry on August 30 last year, but the tragic loss of Katie’s brothers in a road accident the day before postponed their wedding plans.

On Tuesday, Katie posted a series of photos on Instagram of special moments with Devin. In her heartfelt caption, she expressed her deep love and gratitude for his support and love.

“Happy Birthday to the love of my life. I thought I loved you the most I possibly could 10 years ago but that could never compare to the love I have for you today. Thank you for everything you do for our family. You constantly put my needs before your own and carry me through all the struggles and happiness,” she wrote in the caption.

Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau tragically passed away on August 29, 2024, in a biking accident caused by an allegedly drunk driver in Salem County, New Jersey, while in town for Katie’s wedding. After the tragedy, Katie shared that she engraved her late brothers’ initials, "J&M," on her wedding band to honor their memory.
